Dakota ODP for 2018-2019 is structured in a way that will allow for the open identification of players to participate and tryout for the program. As a program, we will utilize both a recommendation process and an open tryout process. This process should encourage more participation in the program and also the ability for the program to represent the very best players in both North and South Dakota. Below is the schedule of Dakota ODP opportunities. Players born between 2002-2006 are eligible to participate in Dakota ODP (Competitive Pool) during the 2018-2019 season. Players born between 2007-2008 are eligible to participate in the Dakota ODP (Developmental Pool) and its opportunities.

Midwest Region ODP Showcase
Dakota ODP Families and Players,
We were recently notified that Nebraska ODP would no longer be able to participate in our late June Sub-regional ODP event in Sioux Falls. We had been planning for a three program event (Dakota ODP, Iowa ODP and Nebraska ODP).
Once we were notified, we took steps to plan an event with just Iowa and then worked to try and bring in clubs from MN and Canada. We also reached out to other state ODP programs to see if they could join us. Unfortunately, none of those options worked.
Therefore, we will not be hosting the sub-regional event that was planned for June 26,27,28 in Sioux Falls. This is of course disappointing as we know a local event like this for our Dakota ODP players would be very meaningful, enjoyable and an opportunity to showcase their abilities in a tournament style event.
With Dakota ODP Selection Camp around the corner (June 1-4: Boys and June 4-7: Girls), we plan to add some internal components to the selection camp. We will be adding Inter-ODP games within Selection Camp. This will allow our ODP staff to see the 2002-2006 ODP players in a game setting to better determine those players being selected to move on to the Midwest ODP I.D. Camp in Saginaw, MI.
State teams will still be determined from Select Camp with the goal of identifying future tournaments/events to bring state teams to in the 2019 - 2020 Dakota ODP Season.
We appreciate your understanding during this time and we are truly looking forward to a great 2019 Dakota ODP Selection Camp!
